Kampala – City businessman, Mukesh Shukla of Shumuk Group of Companies, has petition the High Court to remove counsel Julius Turinawe, city lawyer, for malicious prosecution.
In a letter addressed to the Director of Public Prosecution and brought to the attention of Justice Abodo, Mukesh moved for withdrawal from a case review seeking discontinue mentioning Turinawe.
“The Late Katatumba and Company in May 2014 complained to the Law Council. We hereby enclose the complaint copy on said lawyer (Turinawe) admitting to collusion and money obtained by pretence which the complaint, Angella Katatumba and Julius Turinawe are having watching the brief illegally,” read the letter dated June 29.
This is yet another hiccup Mukesh’s legal team views as a mistrial or symptom of a miscarriage of justice after being embroiled in close to a decade of the legal battle.
