MBARARA – The Bishop Stuart University (BSU) community is reeling from the sudden and tragic loss of Florah Kyayemagye, a respected lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Arts, and Media Studies.
Kyayemagye, who was known for her dedication to education and her vibrant personality, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, leaving her family, colleagues, and students in deep sorrow.
Kyayemagye, who was expecting her second child, collapsed suddenly on Friday. She was immediately rushed to Neocare Clinic, where it was discovered that her unborn baby had tragically passed away.
In a desperate bid to save her life, she was later transferred to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, a well-equipped facility known for handling critical cases. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Kyayemagye was pronounced dead early Saturday morning.
The news of her death has sent shockwaves throughout the university. Florah Kyayemagye was not only a dedicated educator but also a mentor and friend to many students and staff members.
