NEWS – Transport services have been paralyzed at Tangi Junction along Olwiyo—Pakwach road after R.Nile burst its banks just adjacent to Pakwach Bridge affecting connectivity between Arua to Gulu and Gulu to Kampala. According to the Uganda National Roads Authority statement, by press time the water levels were still high and their teams were monitoring and will commence interventions as soon as water levels subside. UNRA urged travellers from Kampala to West Nile to connect uninterrupted through the Paraa—Kisanja Park Junction road. Motorists from Gulu to West Nile were advised to use the Atiak—Adjumani route and cross using the Laropi Ferry to reach Moyo and surrounding areas. Motorists to Gulu, Lira, Kitgum and beyond were also advised to use Masindi Port ferry through Rwenkunye off Kampala—Gulu highway during this time. UNRA promised to keep the country updated on any other developments to inform the journeys.
