KAMPALA- The former Secretary of Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Mathew Bukenya is dead.
Close family sources intimated that Mr Bukenya, who was in his early 90s, breathed his last on Sunday night.
UNEB Spokesperson Jennifer Kalule confirmed the development on Monday.
“It’s true, he passed on,” Kalule told the media.
Bukenya retired from UNEB on March 31, 2016,
Bukenya was recalled out of retirement in 1997 to head UNEB where he previously worked as an accountant.
He replaced David Livingstone Ongom who was sacked by government.
