Police have announced doubling the shs10 million bounty for information leading to the arrest of Lujja Bbosa Tabula, the man suspected to have hired the killers of Ndiga clan head, Daniel Bbosa.
Addressing journalists on Monday, Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga said whereas they have continued to receive leads on the whereabouts of Tabula, none of them has been credible.
“The information from the public has not yielded anything. To this, the Criminal Investigations Division has increased the reward to shs20 million as we ask anyone with information on Tabula’s whereabouts should inform CID,” Enanga said.
Tabula, a self-proclaimed rightful head od Ndiga clan is believed to have hired the killers of Bbosa last month.
Police said that interrogation of suspects currently on remand who included the man who pulled the trigger linked Tabula to the assassination plan as the funder.
Security said last week that Tabula, a resident of Mpigi is believed t have gone into hiding in one of the islands on Lake Victoria.
The police spokesperson said on Monday that they will continue to haunt for Tabula until he is arrested.
“We ask the suspect to turn himself in to defend self .The longer he hides, the more guilty he is and might commit other crimes. We are confident we are going to find him .Our CID and Crime Intelligence teams will use all available tools to locate Tabula Bbosa.”
