Ugandan security forces have warned that the deadly ADF terrorist suspected of being behind the two explosions in Kampala has returned to the country.

“The ADF terrorist who was sent to Kampala to plant bombs last year 2023  has resurfaced to carry out the deadly mission. You are advised to be vigilant and  report to any police or security agency,” said a security alert  on Sunday.

Two improvised explosive devices exploded in Kikubamutwe township in Kabalagala and another in Nabweru, Nansana township.

The Army then said  that the improvised explosive device that exploded in Nabweru was allegedly brought by two youths yesterday after renting a house for three months and left a bag in the room where the explosion occurred .

The improvised explosive device that exploded in Kabalagala was said to have been left on the verandah of a house on a busy street and then exploded, but did not injure anyone. The security services then offered a reward of Sh20 million to anyone with information leading to the arrest.

On Sunday, the security agency said the Sh20 million reward remains in place for anyone with credible information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

“A reward of Shillings 20 million is still awaiting anyone who provides information to security agencies.”
